Senior Data Engineer I
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer I to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence.
In this role, you will work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Software Engineers to ensure reliable, high-quality, and well-structured data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming).
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes using modern data engineering tools.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics teams to support data needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and production issues.
- Improve data architecture, governance, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/Scala/Java.
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Flink.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with data warehousing tools such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and distributed systems.
