Mechanical Estimation Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates and technical proposals for mechanical engineering projects.
In this role, you will analyze project requirements, evaluate materials and labor costs, and support tendering and project planning activities to ensure competitive and profitable project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations for mechanical projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and technical inputs.
- Support bid preparation and tender submission processes.
- Prepare BOQs, cost comparisons, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams.
- Monitor project costs and support value engineering initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical estimation or tendering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and project costing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimation software/tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, MEP, fabrication, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of international codes and industry standards.
