Job Purpose
Lead the Engineering Department to support project delivery by managing engineering activities, technical coordination, and design development while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering activities from tender through project completion.
- Review project designs and oversee preparation of shop drawings, technical submittals, and coordinated drawings.
- Support the estimating team during tendering with technical input and design reviews.
- Define project scope, monitor engineering progress, and track long-lead materials.
- Obtain required approvals and NOCs from relevant authorities, including RTA and DEWA.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Resolve technical and design issues to minimize project risks, delays, and additional costs.
- Supervise engineering staff and ensure timely delivery of engineering documentation.
- Participate in project meetings, monitor engineering milestones, and support project handover with accurate as-built documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality procedures, and company policies.
Compliance & Ethics
- Comply with the Company’s Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery & Corruption policies.
- Complete mandatory compliance training and report any suspected policy violations.
Quality Responsibilities
- Adhere to Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project specifications and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional engineering membership/certification is an advantage.
- Valid UAE Driving Licence.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Roads & Infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements, including RTA, DEWA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Proven experience managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
