Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Commis Chef to support kitchen operations and assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes in a professional kitchen environment.

In this role, you will work under the supervision of senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations, maintain food quality standards, and support daily food preparation activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and kitchen standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations.
  • Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Assist in basic food prep such as chopping, marinating, and plating.
  • Help manage kitchen inventory and reduce food waste.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Hotel Management.
  • 1–2+ years of experience in a kitchen or food preparation role.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering services.
  • Knowledge of international cuisines.
  • Culinary training or apprenticeship experience.
