Workshop Foreman – Ready Mix / Heavy Equipment

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman – Ready Mix / Heavy Equipment to supervise maintenance and repair activities for ready-mix concrete equipment and heavy machinery.

In this role, you will oversee workshop operations, coordinate maintenance teams, and ensure equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and repair of mixer trucks, pumps, loaders, generators, and heavy equipment.
• Plan and assign daily workshop activities and maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are properly implemented.
• Monitor spare parts usage and coordinate with store and procurement teams.
• Maintain safety standards and workshop housekeeping.
• Prepare maintenance reports and equipment performance records.
• Coordinate breakdown support and emergency repairs.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment or ready-mix workshop operations.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Experience managing workshop technicians and maintenance teams.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and equipment diagnostics.
• Good leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Ready-Mix Concrete or construction equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of batching plants, concrete pumps, and mixer truck systems.
• Familiarity with workshop management software and maintenance reporting.
